According to a new poll among American Jews, most Jews in the United States oppose a pre-emptive attack against Iran.

This is yet another transparent failure of the Israeli government in its efforts to educate world Jewry on the dangers facing our people. While Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad works to develop nuclear weapons and threatens to destroy the Jewish state, most American Jews reject a military solution. If Jews today oppose bombing Iran, they simply have no moral right to criticize the administration of United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt for its refusal to bomb the German death camps during World War II. Bombing Iran would essentially amount to bombing a Nazi death camp as both aspire to kill Jews en mass. If the Israeli ambassador and his staff are unable to convince the public of the dangers facing the Jewish nation, they should return home to Israel and be replaced by more competent emissaries.
